When my friend Eric came to me looking for a personal logo and business card, I jumped at the opportunity. He was completely open to me putting a bit of a creative spin on the typically stale legal card. His one request was to somehow incorporate the roman column. Below is the final artwork and card.

Eastfield is a historical village in Rensselaer County in upstate New York. We worked with Don Carpentier, the Owner in developing their branding, packaging and website, bringing together 18th century elements with a rustic, yet modern twist. The use of rubber stamp and letterpress printing is consistent with the feel of the property as it stands today.

For this project, I chose to design a rebranding for a 2010 Guggenheim exhibit called HAUNTED. The photograph I chose to use to represent the varied exhibit was the photo below by Bernt & Hilla Becher. I created a 24 x 36" poster as well as a postcard invitation (seen in image 3).

For this promotional poster, I took inspiration from Lucian Bernhard's advertising work - using a simple, yet illustrative object accompanied by a headline. In this example, however, I juxtaposed this idea by filling the poster with type and using the object as a hinderance to the material behind it.
